THE STATEMENT OF MY ART
My artistic practice is based on the continuous mediation between science and art, physics and metaphysics, practical research and theory, and revolves around the fascination with the invisible, particularly the physical forces that exist beyond our perception and yet exert a powerful influence on the human body and mind and on the world as we know it. With a specific interest in sound resonance and its extraordinary ability to create connectedness, my work aims to promote a deep sense of care and attachment to the world we live in and to stimulate coexistence and empathy. Focusing on current environmental and social issues, my practice aims to recalibrate the current anthropocentric vision to the natural world and to the true physiological and psychological needs of humans through experiential and emotional experimentations at different scales. Observation of nature, imagination, intuition, multidisciplinary research and interdisciplinary collaborations create an artistic work that translates into a collection of writings, performances, musical compositions, sound sculptures, spatial immersive installations and architectures that broaden the horizons of sensory perception and resonate with the multiplicity of vibrations that constitute our world.
THE STATEMENT OF MY HEART
Wish for infinity / Over the horizon, the saltiest waters / I float upside-down. Where has gravity gone? / Can you see it? No. Can you hear it? Yes! / I enjoy folding Maya’s Veil into the shape of a lotus flower / Lotus is my music, its leaves are my cheeks / Roots and mycelium are the neurons of trees / Crunch…crunch…roar, moan. Is it my tired heart or the child playing above? / I am a child: I am excited and sad / When sand reverts time, rhythm is found / Lost and found is the signal from the ground / No beat but I heat when I hit the lips of the voice that I miss / Ancestors and mentors, let’s go for a picnic / The river runs wild, it is made of lava Polifemo’s eye / Run in the street with its noises inside / Wild is the music of the body and mind / I tied a thunder to a string and shook it all night / Oh Tesla, could you please inspire my mind? / Cybernetics and kinetics: the mind of the sea / The bridge is the neck of Modigliani’s princess / Please move my dream right in the middle of that pyramid / After 7920 miles the serpent eats itself: welcome to new life my dear universe! / Did you think the same thing? Is it telepathy? / Ecstasy in the rule of the shell / A home of sounds is my paradise on Earth / Senti, Ri-Senti, Ri-Suona
