SOUND GREENFALL
A musical courtship between plants and humans

Placed into a flourishing garden, the installation plays a musical courtship between plants and humans: through its technical specifics in fact, it allows the visitors to listen to the plants and to tune in with them. Two metal sheets driven into the ground are dimensioned so as to resonate with 120 Hz, a frequency that has proven to be extremely beneficial both for plants and humans. A loudspeaker, attached to the metal sheet, transmits the sound to the surface, transforming it into a cascade of sound waves that are transferred both to the visitor and to the soil up to the roots of the plants. In the spirit of a new ecology of vibration,the installation aims to open up new conversations between men and the natural world, and to stimulate the fundamental exercise of coexistence.
