Sensorial for Opendoor event curated by Luca Molinari
Sensorial reimagines the materiality of concrete, bringing it to life through sound and performance art. In collaboration with Maria Chiara Monacelli, founder of Sensorial, the project Osmos is developed for the Fuorisalone 2025. At its centre is a sculptural table made of sound-reactive, photoluminescent concrete, activated through a site-specific sound art composition created especially for the occasion. The performance explores themes of resonance and interconnection between micro and macrocosms, spanning the natural, architectural, and psychophysical realms. In alignement with Opendoor’s vision, the piece creates a sonic oasis, an immersive environment composed of physical and imagined elements that resonate with the body and the surrounding space. The work cultivates an intimate, ephemeral space woven from green soundscapes, shared memories, convivial rituals, voices, and thoughts—inviting deep reflection on the ties between nature and the human, sound and matter, body and space. Bridging resonance and neuroscience, the performance becomes an ode to togetherness and wellbeing.
