Resonant Learning Spaces: Rethinking Sound & Light

PULSE is the annual summit of the Global Learning Space Network (GLSN), an international platform connecting designers, educators, and researchers committed to reimagining the future of learning environments. The 2025 edition took place in Bengaluru, India, with a strong focus on educational environments, advanced and multisensory learning, and innovative design for perceptual well-being.

With my intervention on “Resonant Learning Spaces: Rethinking Sound & Light,” I introduced a transdisciplinary framework for the design of educational spaces, grounded in neuroscience, architecture, and environmental psychology. The talk explored how light and sound actively shape cognition, emotional regulation, and physiological well-being — especially in children and learners of all ages — and how these forces can be harnessed through spatial design to support focus, curiosity, and restoration. Drawing on my recent neuroarchitectural projects, the lecture proposed design principles and spatial strategies for creating responsive, non-intrusive, and emotionally attuned learning spaces.

It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of PULSE 2025.
